Fosston City Council September 20th Meeting

A new business will be opening soon in Fosston. Play World Incorporated, owned by Larry Roed will sell playground equipment. Assistant City Administrator Cassie Heide tells us the Fosston City Council approved a FEDA Micro Loan for the business at their September 20th meeting.

The council approved hiring Dustin Manecke for the new position of Community Resource Officer. He will be working primarily with zoning and ordinances.

Karvakko was awarded engineering services for the FIT trail expansion. Next step in the process is seeking grant funds which usually cover 80% of the cost with a 20% local match.

Its been a busy summer with several construction projects completed in Fosston.

The Fosston City Council will hold a special budget meeting on Monday, September 27th at 7:00 pm where they will set their preliminary budget and levy.
