(Proctor, MN) — The Aitkin Gobblers football game against the Proctor Rails scheduled for Friday night has been cancelled due to an on-going school investigation at Proctor High School.
The Rail Football season is now on hold with reports coming out Wednesday of student misconduct on the football team.
In a statement released to media, Proctor Police Chief Kent Gaidis said they are investigating the matter and was quoted as saying “The more witnesses that come forward the faster we can have a resolution for our side and the school”.
We spoke to Aitkin Gobblers Football coach Alan Hills on the unfortunate cancellation of Friday’s game.
Due to Proctor’s forfeit, the Rails fall to 0-4 on the season, while the Gobblers are now 4-0. Aitkin will be back at Veterans Field October 1st against Duluth Denfeld.
