Bagley, MN – The Clearwater County Veteran’s Service Office will be hosting a Veteran Town Hall on October 5th at 6:30 P.M. at the Bagley American Legion. The town hall will include a free meal for veterans and their families with the intent to give a presentation on VA benefits that many people may not known of. Veteran’s Service Officer Logan LeClair and County Attorney Kathryn Lorsbach spoke about the event on the ‘Food for Thought’ Program. Lorsbach mentioned the town hall will discuss the new Veterans Restorative Justice Act that was passed with bipartisan effort. Veterans with criminal charges can get a second chance through the new Minnesota legislation.
Along with LeClair and Losbach, there will be Kurt Ellefson, Dori Knuston, Jason Wehry, and Julie Praska-Moser presenting on information and new possibilities for veterans and their families at this town hall event.
Scotty Allison with the Beltrami County Service Office will talk about the new Veterans Home in Bemidji, Minnesota. With the help of federal and state funding, and Sanford Health for donating 15 acres of land, the new Veterans home is closer to becoming a reality for many residents of Hubbard County.
