Aitkin County Board meeting for September 28th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will hold their regular meeting and their monthly discussion with Health and Human Services on Tuesday, September 28th from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
Commissioners will be looking to approve Consent Agenda items including an MSA Professional Services Grant, Final Contract Payment, Community Corrections Agreement, and donations to the Aitkin County Sheriff’s K-9 unit, Search & Rescue unit, Sentence to Serve program, as well as a Private Donation.
Shortly after 10am, Habitat for Humanity Director Ann Schwartz will give an update followed by the 2020 Audit Review and GASB 87 Proposal by CLA.
Long Lake Conservation Center Manager Dave McMillian and Land Commissioner Rich Courtemanche will give the LLCC Report, then Courtemanche will also discuss setting the Land Auction for December 3rd, 2021.
Following a break, Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers will present to the Board on adopting a resolution to submit a grant application for the Economic Development Child Care Grant, while also holding talks on the Aitkin County Business Development and Recreation Grants.
Environmental Services Director Andrew Carlstrom will speak to the Board on scheduling a public hearing for Zoning Ordinance Classification Change. Human Resources Director Bobbie Danielson will present an agreement to ratify Teamsters Licensed Essential, discuss Personnel Committee Recommendations and review a new position for Full-Time Office Floater Position/Recorder’s Office.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert will present to Commissioners to adopt the 2022 Preliminary Levy, the 2022 Budget Hearing Date, and her Administrator updates.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets starting at 9am from the Aitkin County Government Center Board Room.
