Norman County Resident Throws Out First Pitch at Twins Game

Ada, MN — A simple Retweet a couple weeks ago led to a once in a lifetime opportunity for one Norman County resident and Twins fan. Aimee Eggen of Ada was the lucky, randomly chosen winner of a Minnesota Twins Twitter contest that provided her and three other friends free tickets to a game, and the opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the game this past Thursday night against the Toronto Blue Jays. Eggen says she was extremely nervous leading up to the pitch, especially considering the recent viral video of UFC star Connor McGregor, a professional athlete, who managed to embarrass himself throwing a wild first pitch just days prior.

Overall it was a very memorable experience for Aimee. She says she of course got to keep the ball and was treated to a bunch of other upgrades and goodies at the game as well.

The Twins won the game as well, defeating the Blue Jays 7-2. This was one of two memorable Minnesota Twins games that Eggen had experienced this year. She also attended the home opener, which was the first game back with fans at full capacity.
