Halstad Community Club to Recognize Business & Citizen of the Year at Community Supper this Thursday
Halstad, MN — The Halstad Community Club invites area community members to their annual Community Dinner this Thursday, September 30th at the Legion Recreation Center. Normally the event is held in the spring, but like many events was pushed back due to COVID. At the dinner, Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson will give his State of the City address, Business of the Year and Citizen of the Year will be announced, and an update on the Communities Thrive grant will be provided. The big change this year, according to Donna Scholl of the Halstad Community Club, is that childcare will be provided so that the adults can enjoy the meal undisturbed.
There has been a lot of new and exciting things happening in the City of Halstad over the past year a half since the last Community Dinner, especially around the city’s acquisition of the former school. Scholl says the event is a great way to hear firsthand what is going on in the community.
The Halstad Community Dinner will begin at 6pm this Thursday, September 30th. The cost is $15 per person. For more information, visit the Halstad Community Club on Facebook.
