Climax-Shelly School Board News & Notes
Climax, MN — The Climax-Shelly School Board held their regular monthly meeting last week on Monday, September 20th. At the meeting, the board approved election judges for their November Special Election. The special election features and unopposed race for an open school board seat, but more importantly an attempt for the district to renew operating levy, according to Climax-Shelly Superintendent Dan Dalchow.
Also at the meeting, the school board approved a couple of new hires to finish up their staffing needs for the time being
The district is working on acquiring the next round of ESSER funding. Superintendent Dalchow says they took input from the public on how to best utilize it.
And while some schools in the region have had issues with COVID outbreaks to start the year, Dalchow notes the students have been doing a good job at staying safe and they have had minimal interruptions so far.
The Climax-Shelly School Board also accepted a donation from Ag Country Farm Credit Services for their FFA program.
