Cuyuna Regional Medical Center offering COVID-19 booster shots

(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby is now offering COVID-19 booster shots by appointment Monday-Friday afternoon.
The Crosby clinic will offer the booster vaccines to people who previously received the first two doses of the Pfizer vaccine, with the second dose coming no later than March 2021. Those who received the Moderna or Johnson& Johnson vaccine cannot receive the Pfizer booster.
The Centers for Disease Control recommends that the following groups should receive a booster shot of Pfizer-BioTech’s COVID-19 vaccine: people age 65-and-older, residents age 18-and-older in long-term care facilities, people aged 50-64 years old with underlying medical conditions.
The CDC also recommends the following groups may receive a booster shot, based on their individual benefits and risks: people aged 18–49 years with underlying medical conditions and people aged 18–64 years at increased risk for COVID-19 exposure and transmission because of occupational or institutional setting.
Appointments may be scheduled by calling 218-545-4560 with a limited number of appointments being offered each afternoon.
