(Duluth, MN) — The Twin Ports Interchange Project in Duluth will continue to progress with more traffic impacts set to begin on October 8th.
According to a release from the Minnesota Department of Transportation, I-35 will return to two lanes of traffic in each direction and new traffic impact will begin including:
Motorists travelling northbound on I-35 will encounter a shift in traffic as northbound I-35 is routed into the existing southbound lanes. This configuration will last through the Fall of 2022.
Northbound I-35 to southbound I-535 will close, as a signed detour will follow the Highway 2 Bong Bridge.
The ramp from 27th Avenue West to northbound I-35 will close through October 15th, the signed detour will follow I-35 south to 40th Avenue West and then back north.
Going further into late October, the ramp from northbound I-35 to northbound I-35 will be closing.
