(Ironton, MN) — The Ironton City Council did take under consideration the Police Department contract while reviewing multiple building requests during their regular meeting from the Ironton City Council Chambers.
Jim Illies of INH Properties of St Cloud spoke before the Council entering an agreement with the City of adding water and sewer services to Woodland Road/Highway 210, which would be the site for a new apartment building complex.
The Council did take the request under consideration with establishing an annexation for the later date. A request from resident Luke Lundquist for a building permit will be sent to Planning and Zoning before Council review. They also did approve a new 5-year Police Department contract at cost of $125,000. Discussion was also held on whether to make a decision on selling or keeping the land of Bonnie Bell Mine.
The City moved to NOT sell the Bonnie Bell Mine. More talks were also held concerning the needed updates for the Fee Schedule.
The Fee Schedule will be reviewed and revisements will be presented for Council approval at another meeting. The Council will also be looking into grant opportunities for building a Pickle Ball Court, tabled the Planning and Zoning Contract pending further review of quotes for building inspector services, and approved authorizing a $5 Peddler’s Permit to Smokey Jake’s BBQ for them to set up in town.
The Ironton City Council will next meet at 6pm on Wednesday, October 20th from the Ironton City Council Chambers.
