Norman-Polk Extension Urges Safety as Harvest Ramps Up

Ada, MN — Harvest in the Red River Valley is in full force with soybeans, corn, and sugar beets all essentially being harvested at the same time. While there’s lot to do and never enough time in the day, Norman and Polk Extension Educator Heather Dufault says whether we’re in the field or on the farm, everyone needs to make smart decisions to avoid injury or death during harvest.

Those safety reminders also go out to all those sharing the roads with the harvest crews. Dufault notes that patience is key.

Lastly, Dufault urges everyone to slow down, think twice, and be safe.
