By Paul Vold firstname.lastname@example.org (10/12/21)
(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and Dr. Andrew Loveitt will be presenting a virtual seminar on Gastroesophageal Reflux Disease or GERD tonight.
People suffering from GERD are invited to view the presentation with Dr. Loveitt of CRMC’s Minnesota Reflux and Heartburn Center at 6pm on the CRMC Facebook page.
GERD is caused by a weak valve that allows acid, bile, and stomach contents to flow back from the stomach into the esophagus, creating heartburn and often causing damage to the lining of the esophagus. In addition to heartburn, those who suffer from GERD experience regurgitation, hoarseness, persistent cough, asthma, bad breath, sleep disturbance, and tooth erosion.
