Crossing Arts opens ‘Costume Party’ exhibition

(Brainerd, MN) — The Crossing Arts Alliance is getting into the spooky season with their latest exhibition which opens today through October 30th.

“Costume Party” features artwork from five artists from across the country on the idea of a Halloween party and incorporates figurative imagery of a costume or mask, both recognizable and somewhat imagined.

Works throughout the exhibition come from Jim Cook, Gregory Dirr, Martin Nelson, Tony Powers, and Chase Vreeland.

The exhibition is funded in part from the Five Wing Arts Council and the Minnesota State Arts Board, and special legislative appropriation from the Arts and Cultural Heritage Fund.The Crossing Arts Alliance is open Tuesday-Friday 10am-5pm and Saturdays 10am-2pm at their downtown Brainerd location of 711 Laurel Street.
