(Aitkin, MN) — Even as we head further into the Fall, the Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District is active with forest stewardship, Aquatic Invasive Species, and other measures to help the forests, lakes, and rivers settle into the end of the year.
RJ Broadcasting, Inc’s Doug Gillette spoke with Aitkin County Soil & Water Conservation District manager Steve Hughes about the continuing effort to stop the spread of Aquatic Invasive Species.
Hughes also talked about forest management work seeing more activity at the end of the year.
In previous chats, Hughes mentioned the SWCD’s work on the forest management videos that highlight the many facets of land in Aitkin County.
Hughes did also mention, after being in their office in the Aitkin County Government Center, that the convenience of their location has been beneficial for visitors and staff.
