Brainerd Council Discusses Safety and Public Works Issues in October 18 Meeting
(BRAINERD, MN) — The city of Brainerd held its second council meeting of the month of October on Monday, so we had our routine chat with Mayor Dave Badeaux to follow up.
The council spent the bulk of the meeting hearing and discussing a presentation from the safety and public works committee. Among actions taken by the council was the approval of a letter of intent for an application for a Safe Routes to School grant for the Harrison school.
The council continued discussions on some issues brought up in previous council meetings as well. Specifically, discussions continued surrounding the issue of downtown snow removal in the special services district.
Badeaux also updated us on where the conversations on the city’s street light policy stand now.
The safety and public works presentation wrapped up with a conversation on sober houses.
We thank Mayor Badeaux for his time. Our full interview with him, in which he also discusses how the city’s Great Pumpkin Festival went, can be found below.
