McIntosh, MN – This Friday, October 29th, the small town of McIntosh plans to come together in order to support a local family. Fernanda Soto and Holly Schlagel experienced a house fire on September 23rd. To help the family financially and emotionally, plenty of locals in McIntosh planned a benefit dinner to raise money. Denise Stark is one of the main organizers of the event, and she says that this is a great opportunity for the McIntosh community to support a family in need.
The silent auction will include gift certificates to local businesses, gas cards and other items. The dinner will include the aforementioned spaghetti with meat sauce, French bread, lemonade or water, and a dessert. Stark explains the set-up people will expect to see this Friday.
Live country music will be performed by the Honky-Tonk Troubadours following the silent auction. Stark and other people in McIntosh work year-round to make these events happen to support local families and businesses.
The benefit will be held at Little Bobby’s Bar & Grill in McIntosh from 4:30 P.M. to 8 P.M. If you cannot make the dinner and would like to make a donation, call Denise Stark at (218)-563-2121. The full interview with Denise Stark will be on ‘Food for Thought’ on Thursday, October 28th at 8:45 A.M.
