(Brainerd, MN) — The Crow Wing County Household Hazardous Waste Program will now be open year round, Monday through Friday 8am-5pm.

In a release from Crow Wing County, residents can now bring in all types of household chemicals for disposal including but not limited to cleaning products, pesticides, herbicides, paiunts, stains, and automotive chemicals, all completely free of charge.

Previously the HHW program was open 2 days per month from May to October, and then only by appointment from November to April.

For those wishing to dispose of household chemicals after arriving at the County Landfill site, residents must stop at the Landfill Office. The attendant will discuss the items to be disposed of and provide directions to where the HHW Facility is. All loads must be covered to not litter the various roadways with debris.
