Crosby City Council listens to roundabout presentation, Representative Lueck at October 25th meeting

(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby City Council did listen to presentations on the intersection project and an update on the Comprehensive Plan during their regular meeting Monday, October 25th from the Crosby City Hall Council Chambers.
The Board did approve Consent Agenda items of an outdoor public fireworks display for North Star Fireworks and a special event application for Cuyuna Regional Medical Center for “A Cuyuna Christmas”.
District 10B State Representative Dale Lueck was in attendance and spoke to the Council concerning ATV use in the Cuyuna Country State Recreation Area.
The next step would be to come up with potential options concerning whether to allow or not allow ATV’s in the SRA. The Council did also approve new banners to be displayed Downtown pending further detail adjustments with the new banners.
Crow Wing County Highway Department Senior Engineer Steve Stroschein spoke to Council members on the Crow Wing County/MnDOT intersection roundabout.
City Administrator Matthew Hill gave an update on the Comprehensive Plan as the City looks to expand for the future.
Approval was given to post mechanics and assistant working foreman positions for the Public Works Department, as well as two payment requests for training expenses for the Crosby fire Department and final payments of the new City Dump Truck.
The Crosby City Council will next meet Monday, November 8th at 6pm from the City Council Chambers.
