(Aitkin, MN) — Minnesota Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Amber Ladd gave a small preview of the upcoming statewide Deer Hunting Opener after the past few weeks have provided insight for any changes and regulation adjustments.

CO Ladd did mention that Chronic Wasting Disease Testing will be mandatory once again in Zone 604, which does encompass Aitkin.

Ladd did mention that feeding and baiting is still not allowed in Aitkin County.

Brand new regulation books are also a helpful tool for hunters in preparation for the opener.

Trespassing issues also continue to be an ever present issue, which also falls onto the landowners too.
