Ada. MN — The Ada City Council held their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday night, November 2nd at Ada Council Chambers. At the meeting, Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson reported on some staffing challenges that the city is dealing with at the moment. Larson says their Police Chief has been out on illness for several weeks and they could use more employees at the Dekko Center and at their Liquor Store.

The council also discussed their American Rescue Plan funding and some potential uses for it. Larson says they will use some of that to purchase of new bullet proof vests and tazers for the police department, as well as cover overtime costs.

In hopes of improving the broadcast quality of their council meetings, Larson adds that there are looking into new equipment and streaming options.

And Administrator Larson wanted to remind community members about the upcoming Customer Appreciation event at the Ada Liquor Store.

The Ada City Council also approved an off-site liquor license and two sets of turnout gear for the Fire Department.

Councilmembers Mike Nelson and Shawn Roux will join the KRJB Kaleidoscope this Thursday at 9am to further recap this week’s meeting.
