City of Baxter Weighs Options for Southwest and More from November 2 Council Meeting

(BAXTER, MN) — The city of Baxter held its first regular council meeting of the month of November on Tuesday, so as always, we connected with Mayor Darrel Olson to chat about the meeting.

Olson first mentioned the ongoing discussions about the city’s plans for the undeveloped land to the southwest. On Tuesday, the city authorized a study to be conducted to determine the best use for it.

He continued with why the study is important, and where the funding for it would be coming from.

The city also updated its ordinance related to food trailers coming into the city, allowing for expansion on that front.

In other news, the city received a donation of $2,500 from a local youth baseball organization as a thank-you for the work done on local fields.
