Climax, MN — The Climax-Shelly School District was successful in renewing their Operating Levy on Tuesday night during a special election. The operating levy was set to expire at the end of 2023, but because they were already required to have a special election to fill a school board position, Climax-Shelly Superintendent Dan Dalchow says it made sense to attempt to get it renewed this year.

74% of Climax-Shelly voters voted in favor of renewing the operating levy. Dalchow says that operating levy is vital to the success of the district and its clear that the community supports it.

Also as part of that special election, Scott Swanson was successful in being elected to the school board after running unopposed.
