Aitkin County Board meeting for October 9th

(Aitkin, MN) — The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners will hear updates from Economic Development and review resolutions from the County Engineer during their regular meeting from the Government Center Board Room.
Commissioners will be looking to approve items including an LG230 Off-Site Gambling Permit for the Minnewawa Sportsmen’s Club, and resolutions for Benson repurchase, Utility Easement, and Edward Purchase, and a donation for Sentence to Service from the McGregor Lions Club.
County Chairman Mark Wedel will take time during the meeting to recognize County employees that are Veterans.
Human Resources Director Bobbie Danielson will present a resolution for Commissioners to ratify the L49 Agreement for 2022-2024.
Economic Development Coordinator Mark Jeffers will introduce Executive Director for Growth Innovation Stan Gustafson, present a Community Government Development Block Grant for adoption by the Board, and will present a Fiscal Recovery Funds Request.
County Engineer John Welle will speak on a pair of contracts for the Board’s approval.
County Auditor Kirk Peysar will also present a University of Minnesota Extension Agreement and MOA for the Commissioner’s approval.
County Administrator Jessica Seibert will present to the Board the adoption of Legislative Priorities and give her Administrator updates.
The Aitkin County Board of Commissioners meets at 9am Tuesday from the Aitkin County Government Center Board.
