Tis the season for giving and Fosston students are doing just that giving back to the community with their toiletry drive. They are collecting personal care items and paper products for the Loaves and Fishes Food Shelf in Fosston. It’s a joint effort with elementary student leaders and the high school student council. Elementary students exceeded the original goal they set for the project as Superintendent Sue Chase reported in her recap of the November Fosston School Board meeting.

The high school student council met their goal of 500 toiletry items and partnered with Thrivent which donated $500 to their cause.

Fosston students attended the student council summit held at Nevis recently where they shared ideas with students and advisors from other schools.

The Fosston School Board received an update on the ag program and the opportunities it offers for students during their November meeting.

In other news, Crystal Munter was approved for a one year term on the school board beginning in January filling the position vacated by Brandi Munter.

And the Fosston School Board approved a trip to Puerto Rico in November of 2022 for Spanish students.
