(Aitkin, MN) — Just under 3 weeks have passed since voters in Aitkin County helped pass the Capital Projects Levy that will help the Aitkin Public School District stabilize their current needs and push towards future projects.
We spoke to Aitkin Superintendent Dan Stifter how the community received the message of the Capital Projects Levy which played into its passing.
Stifter also spoke about some of the immediate needs for the District, with some being easy to address in the near future with others taking more time to develop.
Some of those immediate needs to do include the original purpose of the Levy concerning technology and transportation.
Stifter also discussed the ramifications of the potential budget cuts if the Levy did not pass.
