(Aitkin, MN) — During last week’s Health and Human Services meeting with the Aitkin County Board of Commissioners, Public Health Supervisor Erin Melz updated the Board on the most recent COVID numbers and transmission rates.
Melz provided the hard numbers of COVID positive cases to close out November.
COVID Transmission within the County also remains high.
These numbers are looking better compared to November of 2020.
Since the CDC has OK’d the vaccination of the population ages 5-11 with a pediatric vaccine, the vaccination rates within the county are still on the lower side compared to all of Minnesota.
Aitkin County Health and Human Services will next meet with the Board on December 21st from the Government Center Board Room.
