(Crosby, MN) — Cuyuna Regional Medical Center and Psychologist Kristin Furan will hold an interactive discussion about anxiety and share practical tools to cope on Thursday, December 16th from 12-1pm.

As part of CRMC’s Virtual Cancer Support Group, DR. Furan will focus on participants learning some practical tools to cope with anxiety such as abdominal breathing, progressive muscle relaxation, using a thought record to replace anxious thoughts, and imagery. Those also attending will have the opportunity to practice a brief mindfulness meditation using the breath to cope with anxiety about cancer.

Virtual Cancer Support Group meetings are held the third Thursday of each month with a new topic each month.  Registration for the support group is not required and there is no cost to attend. Simply email Dustine Parks, or call 218-546-4319 or 218-546-4302 for more information.
