St. Joseph’s Soup & Pie Day is Thursday

Ada, MN — The St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Ada will continue their nearly three-decade long tradition during the Old Fashioned Christmas Festival of serving up made from scratch soups and pies at their annual Soup and Pie Day this Thursday, December 2nd. A unique aspect of this year’s Soup and Pie Day, according to Terry Steen of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, is that they will be using locally raised chicken and beef for the soups.
Last year’s Soup and Pie Day was done in drive-thru fashion and will continue to be this year as well. Steen says they’ve developed a very efficient system for getting people their orders.
You can place your orders by calling the St. Jospeh’s Catholic Church at 218-784-4131 or texting or calling 218-784-8566. Please do so by Wednesday.
In addition to the soup and pie, you can also bid a number or different baskets via their online silent basket auction. While previous online auctions were done via Facebook, this year they are utilizing a new website for a better bidding experience.
The silent auction items will be available for viewing starting Wednesday night at www.32auctions.com/silentbasketauction.
Steen adds that the support from the community for Soup and Pie Day has always been tremendous, and as a result a great deal of money goes back into the community to help those in need.
The St. Joseph’s Catholic Church Soup and Pie day is this Thursday, December 2nd from 11am until 1:30pm. A minimum $10 donation is asked for the meal.
