Heritage Center Fundraiser and Christmas Movie Surprise at Fosston Theater
By Laura Hamilton laura@rjbroadcasting.com
It’s a East Polk Heritage Center Fundraiser and classic Christmas movie surprise Tuesday, December 7th at 7 pm at the Fosston Theatre. Doors open at 6 pm. All donations accepted as admission. Wear your holiday sweater, the uglier the better. Bring the kids along for this family friendly movie. Proceeds benefit the Moen Folk Art Collection preservation project which Bonnie Stewart tells us about.
There will be gifts for sale, an ugly sweater contest, a leg lamp selfie station and a Red Ryder B-B gun raffle which should help you guess what classic Christmas movie they will be showing. Bonnie Stewart and Sarah Amarahl teamed up on our Food For Thought program a few days ago to share information about the fundraiser. Bonnie noted how much they appreciate the Fosston Theatre for hosting this fundraiser.
The East Polk Heritage Center is serving up a holiday feast with a Viking theme on Saturday, December 4th and the response has been overwhelming. In fact, they are sold out for the first time since they began holding the fundraiser about 7 years ago.
