Mahnomen County to Hold Truth in Taxation Hearing on Thursday Evening

Mahnomen, MN — The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners will be holding their annual Truth-In Taxation hearing tonight at 6pm at the Mahnomen County Courthouse. No action will be taken, but the Truth-In Taxation hearing will give the public a chance to hear about the 2022 budget and provide feedback to the county board. Mahnomen County Administrator CJ Holl, who will be providing a brief presentation at the meeting, says the county’s preliminary levy is currently set at a 5% increase.
Holl adds that there are many other factors that determine whether your taxes will increase or decrease at the end of the year, and that if you have questions you should contact your local assessor.
The Mahnomen County Board of Commissioners will approve the final levy at a meeting later this month.
