‘Operation Christmas’ opens phone lines for Aitkin County families today

(Aitkin, MN) — The phone lines will be active Monday with Aitkin County families signing up for Operation Christmas, which gives a good Christmas for needy families this season all thanks in part to the generosity of community members and local businesses.

In our conversation with event organizer Tawny Druar, donations of gifts and cash can be sent to these local businesses.

Gifts for Aitkin County children do range for boys and girls.

Druar also mentioned that cash donations are also accepted.

Operation Christmas volunteers are needed at the 40 Club Convention Center for the Family Shopping Days, running December 14-16.

For families wishing to schedule a shopping appointment for Operation Christmas, call 218-927-7717 Monday, December 6th through Friday December 10th from 8:30am-4:30pm. Shopping Days will take place December 14-16th by appointment only.
