Little Learners-Westview Planning to Open in January
Halstad, MN — The new Little Learners -Westview childcare facility in Halstad is now just weeks away from opening, which in turn will help ease the burden of childcare accessibility in Norman County. The childcare facility, which like its counterpart in Ada leases space from an adjoining nursing home, had originally aimed at opening this fall. However like many other projects, it was delayed due to material shortages during the pandemic. Owner Karen Devos says they are waiting on a new commercial door before they can reopen.
The Little Learners Westview facility will greatly help increase childcare accessibility locally here in Norman County. Devos says it will provide childcare for as many as 50 or more children when fully staffed.
Devos adds that while they are currently adequately staffed for addition of the Little Learners-Westview facility, they could always use more. She talks about the important role their providers play in the development of the young children they serve.
Devos hopes that if all goes well, the Little Learners-Westview location will open its doors the first week of January.
