Morrison County Sheriff’s Office Reports One-Vehicle Crash
The Morrison County Sheriff ‘s Office reports that on 12-9-2021 at approximately 11:55 am, their office received a report of a one vehicle accident with possible injuries on 213th Street west of Highway 25, approximately six miles northwest of Pierz, MN in Platte Township.
According to the Sheriff’s Office, 32-year-old Julia Sam of Onamia, MN was traveling east on 213th Street. Sam fell asleep behind the wheel and hit the guardrail on the north side of the road. Sam’s vehicle went down the hill and came to rest on the frozen Platte River. Sam was transported to St. Gabriel’s Hospital by Mayo Clinic Ambulance with minor injuries.
The Morrison County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Pierz Police Department, Pierz Fire Department and Mayo Clinic Ambulance.
