Dekko Skating Rink Gets Upgrade
With help from dozens of community members on a chilly afternoon, the City of Ada installed a new liner in the Dekko Skating Rink on Monday. The new liner will provide a smoother, more level surface that will freeze much faster with less water. Ada City Administrator Ashley Larson says the liner was on the city wish list for a while, but this year were able to purchase it with help from the city gambling funds and the Ada Future Leaders.
Installing the liner was no easy task, even with the help of roughly 40 people. Larson thanks all those who volunteered their time to help with the installation process.
The City of Ada is need of part-time rink attendants to work at the skating rink warming house this winter. For more information, please contact Ada City Hall or the Dekko Center.
