Aitkin County, Economic Development open Business Development and Recreation Grant application process

(Aitkin, MN) — Aitkin County and the Economic Development Committee are opening the application process for businesses and recreation/tourism events to apply for grant funding.

According to a release from Aitkin County, application deadlines will be on May 31st, 2022 with funding recommendation from the Aitkin County Business Development and Recreation Grant will be considered at the regularly scheduled Economic Development Committee meeting in June 2022. From there, recommendations will be submitted to the Board of Commissioners for final approval.

Grant requests should be submitted by email to Mark Jeffers. All applications shall be submitted using the “Application for Aitkin County Business Development and Recreation Grant” and Model Resolution Form for Non-Governmental Organizations. The Model Resolution must be submitted by any non-profit organizations, except governmental organizations. An Evaluation Form, to be completed and returned within 30 days following the completion of the program/event, will be sent following the acceptance of the application.
