Riverwood update with Oncology’s Jenny Diederich, Katie Gunderson

(Aitkin, MN) — The season of giving has been more than enough for the Oncology Department at Riverwood Healthcare Center in Aitkin, with first hand knowledge of the generosity of donations that have come from the Riverwood Foundation and the community.

In our monthly conversation with Riverwood, we spoke to Oncology Nurse Practitioner Jenny Diederich and Oncology Nurse Navigator Katie Gunderson. Diederich spoke about her role with the Infusion Center at Riverwood.

Gunderson’s new role as Nurse Navigator allows patients and their families to have a lifeline in a difficult and confusing time.

The donations that come into the Infusion Center at Riverwood certainly have their own purpose to help those needing hope.

Gunderson did also mention that patients to the Oncology Department also do receive help beyond what Riverwood may be able to provide.
