(Crosby, MN) — The Crosby City Council took time during their regular meeting Monday night to review and approve the City’s Comprehensive plan.

On hand was Justin Bursile for the Planning and Zoning Commission to review updates and slight modifications to the Plan including changes to the ordinance regarding Short Term Rental properties.

Questions were also brought up concerning the need for more affordable housing which then turned into discussion on low income housing, Bursile did say that definitive language in the Comprehensive Plan needs to be clear on the issue.

The Council clarified the language to state, “address a lack of middle income housing in the community and explore a need for low income housing”.

With the Council finishing discussion on modifications to the Comprehensive Plan, Bursile noted the two-step process in passing the plan.

The changes will also be published for the public’s knowledge.

The Crosby City Council is next scheduled to meet for the first time in 2022 on Monday, January 10th at 6pm.
