(Aitkin, MN) — At the Aitkin City Council’s January 18th meeting, one Aitkin resident spoke to the Council on their plan of tree maintenance for the downtown corridor.
Initial discussions have taken place for plans to either replant the trees or other plans with the Aitkin Area Chamber of Commerce.
Council member Leeann Moriarity noted that some of the trees are causing issues for public use.
Moriarity also presented some ideas for remedying the tree concerns.
Another consideration presented at the meeting was potential sidewalk replacements.
The Aitkin City Council will next meet on Monday, February 7th at 6pm from the Community Room of the Aitkin Public Library.
