Isle School Board meeting recap with Superintendent Dean Kapsner

(Isle, MN) — The Isle Public School Board meeting this past week decided on upcoming events including Prom and a request for use of school grounds for Isle Days.
In our conversation with Isle Elementary Principal and Superintendent Dean Kapsner, he discussed the Board’s acceptance of longtime JV Softball coach Allen Dobbelaire.
The past week was School Board Appreciation Week and included School Bus Driver Appreciation Day, with gratitude being extended throughout the Isle School District.
Of the Reports, the American Indian Liaison noted significant impact for programs for Indigenous students.
The Board went forward with approving the 2021-22 Revised Budget.
Plans for the 2022 Prom have been set for Saturday, April 2nd.
The School Board also approved contracts in paying coaches for the 3 years.
Approval was also given for Isle Days to use school facilities July 7-10.
Kapsner also gave the Board an update on ESSER Grants funding.
The Isle Public School Board will hold their next meeting on Monday, March 21st at 6pm.
