Red River Valley Co-op Power Setting Up Temporary Offices at Hendrum School During Renovation of Headquarters
Halstad, MN — This week, Red River Valley Co-op Power began transitioning to a temporary office in the former Hendrum school as their roughly $4 million renovation and reconstruction begins on their headquarters in Halstad. The project includes the demolition of the detached shop and 1949 office and garage area as well as a renovation and energy upgrades of the 1987 office addition, according to Red River Valley Co-op Power CEO Rich Whitcomb.
Construction will begin in a few weeks, but in the meantime, employees are getting setup in their new temporary location at the former Hendrum Elementary School. Whitcomb says the temporary office is a win-win for the Red River Valley Co-op Power and the city of Hendrum.
Despite the construction and the new offices, there should be no disruptions in services. Whitcomb notes that technology makes it possible for them to do their job from any location.
The construction and renovation of the Red River Valley Co-op Power facility should be completed sometime in the spring of 2023.
