Enjoys the Arts & Culture of Mahnomen Wild Rice Day this Saturday
Mahnomen, MN — Celebrate the arts and culture of the Mahnomen Community during their Wild Rice Day this Saturday, August 27th in downtown Mahnomen. Wild Rice Day is a collaboration of the City of Mahnomen, White Earth Tribal Community Council, and Gizhiigin Arts Incubator and is funded in part by a grant from the Region 2 Arts Council and donations from local businesses and organizations. The event will include various arts and musicians, vendors, food, fun contests, and more. Current Mahnomen City Administrator Kari Kirschbaum previews what’s in store for this Saturday’s Wild Rice Day.
The art vendors and demonstrations and food trucks will run from 11am until 4pm, children’s parade will start at 12:30 with the main parade following at 1pm. Car Show and Corn Hole tournament will begin at 2pm. And take part in the Wild Rice Cook Off and/or enjoy the Opichi Singers from 3-4pm. Visit Wild Rice Day on Facebook for more event details.
