Quarterback Cam Miller passed for two touchdowns and North Dakota State got two touchdowns on special teams as the Bison won their season opener Saturday 56-14 at the Fargodome.
Destin Talbert returned a blocked field goal 53 yards late in the first quarter to give the Bison a 14-7 lead. Then early in the second, Jayden Price brought back a punt 67 yards for a score and the Bison were never threatened. Coach Matt Entz said he was excited to have the win.
Entz also had praise for two Bison who played their high school ball in the region: offensive tackle Mason Miller of Ada and linebacker Oscar Benson of Hillsboro.
Benson had four tackles on the day, including one for a loss. He talked about his performance.
Miller also spoke of the need to get better.
The 1-0 Bison host North Carolina A&T in another non-conference game Saturday afternoon at the Fargodome.
