Oklee, MN — The Red Lake County Rebels solidified their spot as the #1 Seed in Section 8A West Sub-Section after an 81-53 win over the Fertile-Beltrami Falcons on Thursday night.

Red Lake County played with high intensity on the defensive end of the floor in order to combat the size advantage from Fertile-Beltrami, forcing the Falcons into 10 first half turnovers. The intensity was equally as successful on offense for the Rebels as they started the game on a 19-2 run and led 28-7 at the eight minute mark of the first half. Red Lake County would lead 45-20 at halftime.

The Rebels intensity on both ends of the floor continued in the second half as their lead was never less then twenty points. Red Lake County wins 83-51 to improve to 23-1 on the season. The Rebels will host Kittson County Central Friday. For Fertile-Beltrami, they are now 20-5 on the season and will also play Friday when they host Goodridge/Grygla.
