Halstad City Council Meets

HALSTAD, MN—The Halstad City Council held its Truth in Taxation hearing at Monday night’s Council meeting. The new levy for 2025 will be up five percent from last year, going from $253,528 to $266,704. Halstad Mayor Darin Johnson tells us one reason for the increase. 

Johnson says the Council also approved a new public nuisance ordinance, which will take effect once it is published in the county newspaper.  He talks about the reasons for adjusting the ordinance.

Johnson also says the Halstad City Council will meet later this week to make a final decision on a cannabis ordinance for the City.
