A large crowd was attending this highly anticipated game with two teams in the top half of Section 8A and ranked #2 and #11 QRF—   visiting Cass Lake Bena jumped to a 19-4 lead before Ada-Borup-West found high energy from their reserves and began to settle in with Cass Lake Bena leading 32-30 at halftime.   The second half was much closer with 8 ties ( 12 total in the game)–  the final tie at 54-54 with 2:35 to play.  The Panthers made free throws and had a key field goal from an offensive rebound putback  for their final six points.  The Cougars got the ball with :18 remaining and would get a good look field goal attempt in the paint that bounced off the front rim as time expired. Both teams played hard with displays of intense defense and high powered offense.  Cass Lake Bena is now 20-1.  Ada-Borup-West is now 16-4.
