Cavalier 3, North Border 0 (25-17, 25-23, 25-18)

For the third time this season, Cavalier’s volleyball team defeated North Border Monday.  The Tornadoes won the Region 2 quarterfinal game in Park River in three straight sets.

Cavalier senior Eden Carrier had six kills and three blocks in the Tornadoes’ opening set win. For the night, Carrier had 14 kills and seven blocks.

North Border led 20-15 in the second set, but the Eagles gave way late as Cavalier went on a 10-3 run sparked by two kills and two blocks by Carrier for a 25-23 win.

Set three was again close, tied at 15 before Cavalier had two kills by Kaylee Kemp and a block and ace from Tia Jensen to get a 25-18 victory and the sweep.

Cavalier (22-8) takes on Mayport-GC Tuesday in the Region semifinals in Park River.

North Border ends the year 19-12.  Addison Brown had eight kills and three aces for the Eagles, with teammate Keira Moore adding seven kills and a block.
