Central Cass tops Maple River 74-39 in Region 1 Boys Basketball

CASSELTON, N.D. – Central Cass never trailed on Tuesday night against Maple River for their second win of the season.

The Squirrels opened the contest on a 9-0 run and outscored the Raiders 25-7 in the third quarter.

Cole Holzer had 18 points and was one of three Central Cass players in double digits, while Clay Hovelson paced Maple River with 12 points.

Central Cass (2-0 overall) returns to the court on Thursday in Thompson.

Maple River (0-1 overall) is back on the hardcourt on Tuesday, January 3 at the Barnes County Basketball Tournament.
