International Falls Broncos at Chisholm

The International Falls football team opened their season last night with a game in Chisholm heard on Lakes Country 104.1 and rjbroadcasting.com.  The Bluestreaks struck first as they scored with 2:30 left in the first quarter and added to that just over 3 minutes into the 2nd quarter to take a 14-0 lead.  On the ensuing drive, the Bronco would score on this 32-yard run by Jake Olson.

Chisholm would score once more before the half to lead it 22-6 at the break.  The Broncos scored on a 5-yard touchdown run by Cody Joslyn and add the two point conversion on a pass from Joslyn to Parker Olson and the Falls trailed 22-14 with 6 ½ minutes left in the 3rd.  Chisholm would score two plays later on a 70 yard pass and the Broncos were not able to recover.  Joslyn threw 2 touchdown passes in the 4th quarter, one to Hendrix Torgerson and one to Charlie Greenlee but Chisholm also scored twice in the 4th for a final of 44-28.  For the game, sophomore running back Cooper Crandall ran the ball 28 times for 242 yards as the Broncos rushed for 326 yards and added 81 yards passing for 407 yards of offense.  However, Chisholm threw for 287 yards and added 124 yards on the ground for 411 yards of offense.  International Falls hosts Moose Lake Willow River next Friday.  The Rebels lost to Hermantown last night 31-14.
