Barnesville 3-1 East Grand Forks 25-17, 25-21, 28-30, 25-16

Barnesville is Section 8AA Volleyball Champions for the first time ever, and head to state in Volleyball for the first time since 1986 after defeating the East Grand Forks Greenwave on Saturday night.  The Trojans got off to great starts in each of the sets, and would serve the ball very well throughout the night.  The Greenwave battled back and finally overcame the Trojans in set three, but Barnesville put the pedal down in the fourth set and would earn the victory.  Coming into the match, the Greenwave hadn’t lost a set in the tournament, but on Saturday, they didn’t have a lead until late in the third set.
