Clearbrook, MN — The Fertile-Beltrami Falcons flexed their muscles once again on Friday night showing why they’re one of the best 9-Man football teams in the state of Minnesota.

The big difference in the game was the turnover differential. Clearbrook-Gonvick committed three turnovers in the first quarter alone and Fertile-Beltrami took advantage scoring on all three of those chances and they eventually forced the Bears into seven total turnovers for the evening. The Falcons, who are usually extremely strong running the football, had a bit of a tough time against the Bears defense but that allowed their passing game to open up and break open the score 33-0 at half and an eventual 48-8 victory to improve to 5-0.

Fertile-Beltrami will have a monumental Section 6 9-Man matchup next Friday versus Norman County East/Ulen-Hitterdal who lost to Blackduck on Friday night in double overtime. For Clearbrook-Gonvick they fall to 2-3 and will play the Blackduck Drakes next Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
